I write plays about things I’m obsessing about or need to figure out.

Or things me/my loved ones are affected by. Or things I get asked to write about.

Sometimes I’m motivated by rage, sometimes by joy, sometimes by both. I always want to entertain and provoke.

My plays are funny, playful, political and psychological and mix the mythic and mundane.

Cinderella

Gab is a spirited, independent Derbyshire teenager who finds solace in nature as she deals with the death of her mum, the hostility of her stepmum and sisters, and the absence of her dad. A chance encounter with a badger changes her destiny and shows her a life beyond her little valley. A joyous seasonal production for Derby Theatre, performed by a talented cast of actor/musicians.
