Julia and I met on a Clown course in 2019. I did some work on her show Anna Kareninanana! with the Pushkinettes, and then after several walks during the pandemic, in 2021 she asked me to help her craft her new show, Choosh! which she’d done a WIP of in Edinburgh. This job was mainly looking at pre-existing material Julia had created and crafting a congruent narrative out of it, and then working on new scenes with her to fill the gaps. My biggest responsibility was to make the narrative clear, simple and relatable enough that the Clown was always in charge.
